Better late than never, a few photos from our Argentina trip!
Our first few days were a bit chaotic, with flight cancellations, lost bags, and missing out on seeing Mendoza area... but the rest MORE than made up for it. A short stop in Buenos Aires, then to Frontera Wingshooting's Veracruz Lodge, where were enjoyed good food, good people, and of course the great outdoors!
Traveling with a weapon through South Africa is about to get a little more difficult. CBP has once again published a 4457 with an expiration date. The full details can be found in the article posted by Safari Club International - SCI below, along with a link to a 4457 without an expiration date.

Article from SCI: no airport other than O.R. Tambo International Airport will be staffed to issue firearm import permits upon arrival. Hunters flying into Cape Town or any other international airport in South Africa will need to acquire a pre-issued import permit.
NOTICE ON ALL MOVEMENT OF FIREARMS BETWEEN SOUTH AFRICA AND MOZAMBIQUE, SWAZILAND & LESOTHO:
Starting immediately, no temporary export or in-transit permits will be issued by SAPS at CFR, OR Tambo or border posts for International clients or South African citizens traveling with firearms to these countries until further notice.
Any previously issued permits will be honored.
This is not the first time weapons transit has been blocked, and will hopefully be resolved in short order. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
